Experiences
After a number of years on various engineering assignments, Leon began working in the management field whilst in the construction industry. In 1994, Leon left engineering as an occupation and founded Equal Group Enterprises. Following a period of representation with other certification bodies, Leon founded Equal Assurance in 2007, and remains as its Group Assurance Manager to this day.

Leon's business development experiences include growth of various Equal Group Enterprises (including Equal Assurance) both in Australia and overseas, working with other national and international conformity assessment bodies in their business growth and development, and assisting small business and larger corporations with on-going assurance services.

In particular, Leon maintains proven experience in industries such as engineering and construction, transport and storage, waste management and environmental services, water supply and related industries, rail infrastructure, mining and quarrying, and state and local government administration.

Leon has been directly involved with a range of significant infrastructure totalling well over $20 billion, and include Perth Urban Rail Electrification Project, Northern Suburbs Railway Project, Graham Farmer Freeway Project, and Perth to Mandurah Rail Project.

Leon has also designed and delivered numerous training courses and seminars on all aspects of management, including auditor training. He also continues to present and publish papers on a variety of management issues, both at the national and international level. Leon also continues to provide industry representation to standards bodies and regulators both in Australia and at the global level.
