Experiences
John's career commenced through apprenticeships in mechanical engineering and progressed to product engineering, quality, safety, and risk management and since joining the New Zealand Transport Agency in 2009, a regulator of safety and revenue.

He worked full-time for New Zealand’s largest certification body for sixteen (16) years as a Quality and Safety Management System Auditor, Client Manager, and as Deputy Chief Executive for ten (10) of those years.

As an employee of (Waka Kotahi) New Zealand Transport Agency, John's roles included Rail Safety Manager, Road User Charges (RUC) Manager, and Manager Revenue Integrity.

His many years of experience in staff management, team leadership, and system auditing, together with his engineering, quality, safety, risk, and regulatory background has placed him in an excellent position to lead and motivate people into achieving outstanding results while maintaining ethics, integrity, and standards.

John is a highly motivated, innovative and results driven individual, and with a strong philosophy of the continuous improvement cycle (Plan; Do; Check; Act) he brings a highly experienced skillset to the profession of compliance auditing.
