• Interpretation of fabrication drawing, client specification, material specifications, ASME Sec-2 part A,B, Sec-8 div 1 & 2, TEMA etc.
• Inspection of incoming materials as below,
- Medium to heavy thick Plates (visual & dimensional inspection as per SA20, SA480 & quality control manual).
- Nozzle forgings & flanges (visual & dimensional inspection as per B16.5/B16.47 and drawing/Material Spec).
- Pipes (visual & dimensional inspection as per B 36.10/36.19)
- Gaskets (visual & dimensional inspection as per B16.20)
- Fasteners & couplings (visual & dimensional inspection as per the relevant ASME standard)
- Tubes (visual and dimensional inspection as per material take off and client requirement).
• In addition to above, I inspect each and every incoming raw material as per drawing, Material specification, and ASME standards and check for its compliance to all applicable standards and in case of any deviations same I get it regularised by raising DCR/NCR/deviation whichever applicable.
• Reviewing material test certificates and quality control documents for all incoming material as per ASME sec ii part A & B, material specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
• Preparation of material identification report in accordance with shop floor offer and offering same to Third Party Inspector (TPI), authorised inspector & client as per QAP.
• Inspection of raw materials at the sub-vendors place as per QAP.
• Preparation of final material data sheet as per QAP in accordance with client requirement.
• Approving incoming material as per quality control manual in ERP software like BAAN.
• Reporting quality deviations to higher management & purchaser department.
• Verification of stock material for project use in accordance with client requirement and relevant ASME standards.
• Monitoring approval & rejection of all incoming material in ERP software.
