For more than 30 years, Roy has provided consultancy in management system development and implementation. Industries include Construction, Mining, Electrical, Water and Sewer Authorities, Local and State and Federal Government, to mention a few. Management Systems have been developed to address ISO9001, AS4801, VWA SafetyMAP, ISO14001, Disability standards, specific AS standards and HACCP.

System consultancy services have been delivered to a broad range of industries such as Aerial Spraying Operations, Quarry Operations, Concrete Manufacture, a Plastic Surgery Clinic, Modular Kitchen Manufacture, Road Construction, Maintenance and Snow Clearing, Local and State Government and Water Authorities.

Roy has conducted QA, OHS and EMS Contract Compliance Audits on some of Australia’s major road projects including Bypass Freeways at Hallam, Craigieburn, Albury/Wodonga, Pakenham, Geelong and Deer Park. Each of these projects exceeded $200 million in value.

In 2003 a major Electricity Network Distributor engaged Roy to conduct compliance audits on electrical installation works to Australian and Industry specific standards in the Melbourne and Geelong regions.

Roy managed two State Government Projects for the audit of the delivery of training programs by thirty Registered Training Providers on behalf of the Victorian WorkCover Authority. These projects involved nine auditors who undertook audits of training provider records, reports and assessments of course attendees. Roy submitted the successful tender, met with the Construction Industry Stakeholders, prepared the audit methodology and audit report formats and scheduled the project deliveries. He also reviewed and assessed every report and tabulated a detailed summary of findings. Comprehensive reports were then tabled with WorkCover and the Stakeholders, identifying the level of overall compliance to the standards set down for the training providers. The projects were delivered early and the result was Interstate Recognition of Victoria’s Red Card Training Program.

Over his career, Roy has undertaken a broad range of inspection and audit roles, assessing supplier, contractor and subcontractor work processes, records and reports. His skills in the development and supervision of management methodologies for audits and assessments, ensures that teams under his guidance, always deliver projects on-time, on-budget and at the highest quality expected of Clients.

Roy was one of Australia’s first registered auditors of quality systems in the construction industry and provides the skill, knowledge and experience to deliver training, system development, project management and continuous improvement programs. Roy was also one of the first registered Civil Contractors Federation Auditors when the CCF program was established and has conducted many audits in this program (based on ISO9001, AS4801 and ISO14001).
