Experiences
Sam’s recent employment history has been within Town Planning and Urban Infrastructure where he was working for a private consultancy within the development assessment and property acquisition sectors. Prior to this, Sam worked for various civil construction companies gaining over 6 years’ experience within the industry. Within this time, he assisted with delivering several large infrastructure projects, sub-contracting to reputable firms such as Laing O’Rourke, Thiess, and Georgiou. Working alongside large scale plant and machinery and within high-risk environments such as confined spaces and working at heights, meant that safety played a key role within the majority of Sam’s working history.

As a result of his time within the civil construction industry, Sam is familiar with the preparation and implementation of SWMS, risk assessments and various compliance registers and documentation. Whilst having limited experience as a Workplace Health and Safety Consultant, Sam’s diverse work history and the adaptability he possesses will enable him to hit the ground running.

Within previous job roles, Sam was exposed to site inductions, daily pre-start meetings, toolbox meetings, day-to-day site operation and high risk work including confined space rescue and at heights components. Following a 2-year post graduate period within Regional and Town Planning, Sam is eager to step back into the construction industry in a new role where he will be assisting clients with their site specific WHS needs.

Sam is seen as a valuable member of the Oversight Consulting team who we expect to provide a positive contribution to the business moving forward. With a diverse working history across various industries, we anticipate Sam to quickly familiarise himself with internal processes, learning from the senior members within the team to establish himself as a well-respected Workplace Health and Safety Consultant and a vital team member.
