CHIDOZIE AUGUSTINE EZEABA (B.Eng. M.Sc., MNSE, COREN) is a Chemical Engineer with over 9 years of work experience in the maritime industry and 4 years in the oil and gas industry.

He is a Welding/NDT Specialist. A Specialist in the Ship Building and Repair, Engr. Chidozie has held the position of QA/QC Inspector and presently holding the position of QA/QC Coordinator in the Ship Repair Division of Nigerdock Nigeria Limited.

In his capacity as QA/QC Coordinator, Engr. Chidozie Augustine has performed the following roles:
• Coordinates the activities of the Coating, Welding, NDT (Non Destructive Testing), Mechanical and UTM (Ultrasonic thickness Measurement) Inspectors.
• Lead/take part in Scheduled Audits (First Party Audits) and Quality Walkthroughs both in the Ship Repair and Fabrication Divisions. Also take part in Second Party Audits on the Company’s Contractors and Suppliers. Prepares and organizes the execution of the Monthly Continuous Improvement training for the Supervisors and Dock workers.
• Supervise the Inspection of joints fit-up, welding, and repair activities to ensure that it is done in line with the requirements of the procedure and approved WPS.
• Prepares Quality Packs which includes reports on the Welding, Pressure test, non-Destructive tests, Area Renewed on the hull and internals of vessels, UT gauging etc.
• Prepares operating procedure for all inspections to be carried out on the job.
• Reviews the inspection and test plan in line with the procedure or as may be required by the surveyor and vessel owners.
• Carry out Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements on Hull and other parts of the vessel in line with the requirement of the classification society.
